Our pricing is fair and simple: For stock trades, we charge $4.95 per trade. For option trades, we charge $4.95 per trade, plus 65 cents per contract. That’s it.

At TradeKing, we charge the same rates to everyone – beginner or expert, large account or small, regardless of how often you trade with us, for both Market and Limit orders, with no hidden fees. We think that’s fair and simple.

We offer content, tools and functionality specially geared for Stock and Option traders.

TradeKing is a privately held NASD member brokerage firm. Each account is protected up to $25 million through SIPC and our clearing firm.

TradeKing’s management team has deep roots in the online brokerage industry and reunites the original SureTrade, Inc. management team. We have over 100 years of combined experience in Financial Services, primarily in online brokerage including tenures at SureTrade, Quick & Reilly, Merrill Lynch, E*Trade, Datek, AmeriTrade, Smith Barney, Fleet Bank, Bank of America Securities, Charles Schwab, H & R Block Financial Advisors, Morningstar, Lehman Brothers, Robert W. Baird & Co., OptionsXpress, FolioFn, and U.S. Clearing.

Donato A. Montanaro, Jr., TradeKing’s founder and CEO, has been recognized for his groundbreaking contributions in electronic brokerage since he entered the industry in 1992, when online trading meant connecting to a broker through CompuServe with a 1200–baud dial–up modem.

Montanaro was the founder and President of SureTrade, which launched in 1997 with the lowest online trading commissions at that time – $7.95. SureTrade grew to be the 8th largest online broker before merging with Quick & Reilly’s online brand as part of Fleet Bank and Fleet Financial.
